working again to get some different food at the bar tonight. a few pretty good games on the docket tonight and hoping this drives more people to the bar. Pretty sparse working week so do your best to show up and keep your name off of the “Kevin list”. Last week ended just like any other normal Tuesday night…3 players and a long haired male 21yr old bartender, 1 from the disgraced 2021 champs, 1 with 1 Achilles and 1 Commish along with a pony tailed ginger barkeep decided it was a good idea to start chugging beers at midnight….not sure how it got started or why but it turned into a pretty good night. Moral of the story, come to the bar and stay late, you never know what you will be a part of.

Week 5 preview

6pm Manzke -6 vs J Healy
Good news here is that someone will walk out of this game @ 2-2. Bad news is that the other team will be designated as SUPER BAD. Both of these teams stink and both will be short handed for the 2nd straight week.

Fahey vs McGinty—-pretty much the only interesting matchup in this game….pretty tall vs super tall….Wisconsin vs division III. not sure what to think here

Manzke vs Adams—-Manzke is starting to get his footing back and in order for Adams to win this dual he will have to (purple) rain 3’s all night.

Matt Kelly vs Sully—–Sully has been pretty quiet this year….some would say he is getting old, others would say that he never had it even when he was young….one thing he does have is 2 achilies though so he has that going for him….Matt Kelly has looked decent all year but hasnt had that breakout game yet. tonight may be the night.

Manzke 56 J Healy 48

7pm Harrigan vs Mac -2
Whitey is back for team Harrigan but they will be missing the other gun on their team, Brian Harrigan. this will leave 35 shots for the other guys on team Yellow and it will be Interesting to see who takes them…..Packy is also out and unfortunately, they have no other shooters. Team Mac is back at full strength this week minus their 8th and 9th round guys….Rob is back from Poland and rumor has it will be bringing fresh perogies for anyone in the league whos last name ends in Ski. Ironically, there are zero other polish people in this league so Roz has offered to take them off his hands.

Whitey vs Rob—–i am excited to watch these 2 go at it…..whitey is quicker but Rob erases his quickness with a superior post game. i expect both to score 20+

Vodicka vs Bendo—-2 buddies battling in the post….Bendo has the size, Vodicka is quicker.

Tyler vs Shrader—–pretty much the same player, one from Blue Island and the other from California. both love tacos and neither can make layups at better than a 50% clip.

Kevin Statham vs Rovy—-Rovy has been eyeing this game for 3yrs…..not sure why but i think it has something to do with Dave Statham and a rules spat from a few years ago

8pm O’Malley vs B Healy -12
O’Malley will be without Finger and Mocco and Healy is missing his bottom 2. B healy is still sticking by his team being a contender and i kind of agree with him….their top 3, although not as dangerous as Carroll, causes matchup issues with pretty much everyone. as long as there are 2 balls on the court, Slager and Statham will be happy….

McCann vs Zone—–Offense has been an issue for Kevin all year, especially since his HOF nickname ceremony….can he snap out of it against a 3-2? how about a 1-3-1? maybe a 2-3? possible box and one?

Statham vs Zone—–his 5’5 frame causes issues man to man, but can he find the soft spot in a 3-2?

Slager vs Zone—–his 5’4 frame causes issues man to man, but can he find a hole in the quarry….i mean zone?

Gollogly vs Zone—-some would say that his shot mimics LaMelo Ball, others would argue that he developed his hitch watching Phillip Seymour Hoffman shoot in along came polly…..whatever is true, he poses no threat to team O’Malley

B Healy 59 O’Malley 47

9pm Carroll -22 vs Hanigan
Team Hanigan is riding high after last weeks win vs the worst team in the league and will quickly be brought back to earth this week. Team Carroll is coming off a 38pt win over J Healy and seems to be at full strength again….I cant think of anything that will keep hanigan in this game. their secret weapon Gerry Doorhy is still in Hawaii which will mean that team Carroll’s # 1 defender will not have to waste their energy chasing him around.

Kennedy vs Dylan—–i have seen this before and will put my $$ on Kennedy any day of the week. from an anonymous source earlier this year “dylan just doesnt look as dominant as he did last year” i pretty much agree with Joe DeCarlo here.

Carroll vs Hanigan—-this will be a good one to watch as well….Kevin can play both O and D while Hanigan is a great defender but useless on the offensive side of the ball….ive got Carroll

Rapp vs Koll——old and slow vs older and slow…may the best elder win

Carroll 68 Hanigan 46
