Bye- Team Healy (each member of the team is undergoing a mandatory physical due to the rash of injuries)
6:00- Manzke v. Statham -5- last time these two teams played team an undermanned Team Statham prevailed in OT. Thus, you would expect that Team Statham with a full squad should win but after last week there are no assumptions. Team Statham does not have a lot of size but they have more size that Team Manzke which should give them a slight edge. This game will be Team Statham’s offense v. Team Manzke’s defense. Defense might win Championships but during the regular season Offense wins games. This one could also go into OT but expect it to be a low-scoring game.
7:00- O’Malley v. Wagner -4(Game of the Night assuming full squads on both sides and the UPSET special)
-This game will come down to Carroll v. McCann-with McCann guarding Carroll although I would be surprised to see Carroll guarding Kevin “the human rain delay” McCann-this task will go to McCarthy. This game will be a high-scoring affair with the scores in the 70s. Team Wagner is much deeper so they get the edge although Team O’Malley barely uses more than 6 guys anyway but team Wagner’s depth will give them an edge in this one. Granville is the “x” factor for team O’Malley and Chris Hayes will be the “x” factor for Team Wags. Would not be surprised if there was a technical called in tis game
8:00- Shimko -6 v. Mikusiz, Team Mikuzis played out of it mind last week while Team Shimko looked disinterested and lost out there. If Team Mikuzis has a full squad they could pull off the upset for the second week in a row. If Team Shimko does not get out of its funk, they could be looking at another bad loss and not looking good as the play-offs approach. Shimko and Bendo will have to take the game into their hands as no one on team Mikusiz matches up well with either of them. Team Mikuzis has the size hold their own so it is just a matter of whether they can control Alex and Bendo and put up enough points to win. Jason’s prediction that they will come out of the play-in game to play in the Championship is a pipe dream but if they win tonight I may have to re-evaluate the possibilities.
9;00- Bernard v. Spadoni -8 -no one really cares about these two hapless teams. Team Spadoni is coming off a tough loss in OT to Team O’Malley and if Harrigan is out(Achilles), Team Bernard actually has a chance to win this game but won’t change the fact that they will still be playing in the play-in game. Keith has his hands full just trying to keep his team motivated to play out the regular season before Golf season starts.
