Good night at the bar sort of. The first two games- all the teams had multiple representatives other than 1 team. Not so much for the 8:00 and 9:00 games. Only 1 person from those two games. The bar was emptied out by 11;00.

Bye: Harrigan

Healy 52 over Manzke 40- the score does not reflect how close this game was for the most part until Healy pulled away in the end. The highlight/lowlight of this game was Manzke yelling at Statham(who was subbing for them) to get the “F#$%” back here and help rebound as  Statham leaked out  on a shot and headed down court hoping to get a fast break lay-up. Now I know what his teammates have been dealing with for years. 24 hours later I can still hearing him yelling at me. Later in the same game, Manzke plowed over Terry McGuire who was clearly stationary on his way to the basket. I think there is a pattern developing here of elder abuse. He may need to join DeCarlo in a few counseling sessions to get a handle on this before it gets out of control. However, he did appear to be contrite at the bar afterwards.

McEldowney 65 over Statham 50- Team McEldowney out played Team Statham in every aspect of this game most notably in their ability to knock down shots and exposing Team Statham’s weakness in rebounding. Rob got his usually 20+ but Guinane stole the show with 4 3 pointers and continues to solidify his place on the all bar-team and could be the leading candidate for the steal of the draft. No one on Team Statham showed up and hopefully this can be chalked up to  just ” of those games”. This will be the last time Elder Statham picks his team to win.

O’Malley  59 v J. Healy A/k/a Lonely at the Top 47- as predicted with McCann getting the best of Carroll this time around. Team O’Malley seemed to be extra motivated to win this game and the chemistry of playing 20+ games together seem to give them a clear advantage. Due to Team Statham’s loss, Team Healy remains Lonely at the Top for one more week.

Spadoni 73 over Wagner 66- Team Wagner seem to suffer from the same disease that Team Statham suffered from as all of their big guns had an off night at the same time but were able to keep the game somewhat close despite that fact. Alex did what Alex does but Koll is the go to guy on Team Spadoni for now as Alex appeared to be on cruise control for most of the night but still knocked down several 3s.
