Predictable 1st week for a few, outrageously impressive week for a few others and Ha-never-win-again is still winless. Good night at the bar from what i hear, not 1 person from the 8pm game made it and i will take the blame for that….for all the new guys in the league, bar attendance isnt mandatory but its always a good time….i would aim for 50% bar participation if possible, the Hideout does us well with the shirts, food and hot bartenders. A few things to mention after seeing at least 10 min of each game
1. we have 3 guys named Dylan or Dillon in the league….this is too many
2. the talent level in the league is by far the best it has ever been
3. Wags is 50, can still shoot the shit out of the ball and has the hairiest arms ive ever seen
4. Hanigans team had a bye and are currently 0-0 and he thinks that is considered .500

6pm Carroll 45- DeCarlo 31
I only saw the 2nd half of this game and it was incredibly hard to watch. Kevin Carroll claims it was good defense, i only saw very very bad offense. Michael Healy didnt look like himself coming off a knee injury, Brian claims it is because he is “carrying extra weight”…..regardless, i have seen him dominate the floor before and last night wasnt his night. Gierhahn struggled as well with a min of 3 airballs in the 2nd half, forcing shots along with Packy McCrestwood. If Michael and Gierhahn cant find the rim, this team will struggle mightly. shout out to team team Carroll for fighting thru this brutal game.

7pm Manzke 63 McEldowney 44
I have to admit that i was wrong about this game…i am not completely sold on team Manzke even after watching this drubbing but they definitely played well as a group. i will hang my hat on the fact that Mark only scored 6 points though….The big 4 of team Manzke looked like they have played together for ages. Dylan played well and Bendo won the battle of the oafs between him and gainer. Spike Kennedy came out of the gates firing but was clearly fatigued towards the end of the game…..Mac and Slager need to pick up the slack if this team wants to make a run….adding Slevin to the mix will help but not a great showing week 1 for team Mac.

8pm Brian Healy 58- O’Malley 50
team Healy is the real deal but shouldn’t feel great about their win over a short handed team O’Malley. for team O’Malley, this game was UGLY from the start. poor shooting, turnovers and got out rebounded by 26 in the first half. not a recipe for success. Team Healy got cocky though and let team O’Malley crawl back in the game with an 18-0 run to cut the lead to 1 with 6 min remaining. A poor shot by O’Malley and a dagger 3 from LIL Pat Statham and the game was over in the snap of a finger. Team Healy is big and will have the ability to score from every position. I expect this team to be in the top 3 all year. now team O’Malley will have to stew on this loss for 2 weeks as they have the bye next week…..McCann is resting up though and will be ready to give it to team DeCarlo in week 3 to drop them to 0-3 to start the year

9pm Team John Healy 90- Harrigan 87
this may be the highest scoring game in this leagues history. I will confirm with the powers that be but i cant ever remember 2 teams scoring over 80 in a game. this was a barn-burner from the start with both Harrigans jacking up 3’s and Donny scoring in bunches. there was some piss poor defense being played for the portion of the game that i watched but both of these teams will be dangerous moving forward. Still confused about Gollogly wearing a t-shirt under his jersey but thats neither here nor there. as predecited, team healy is massive and if Wags can shoot the way he did last night, this team is going to be hard to beat…..they have 8 guys who can score (everyone but healy)and i cant say that for any other team.
