its the start of the 2nd semester and there are an assload of questions still yet to be answered…2 positive things to build on to start the 2nd half of the year….#1 it is currently 47 degrees and the snow is melting at a rapid pace. #2 Mark Manzke is back on the wagon and will be drinking real beer at the bar tonight. 2 negative things that will bring you right back down to the depths of your winter depression…..#1 it is supposed to snow anywhere from 12-36 inches tonight so we wont see the grass for another 2 months…#2 Mark’s first night back is usually a doozy so i would plan on being in attendance……this isnt really a negative to most, i am just concerned that it will spark another month long dream of sobriety for Mark Smith (inside joke)

couple crazy predictions for the 2nd half…..

1. a team from the bottom 4 (Harigan, DeCarlo, Hanigan, O’Malley) will finish in the top 2 of the standings (not the first 3 listed above)
2. Team Harrigan will threaten every week to be the first team in the last 30yrs to FORFEIT a game. If Dave Statham reads this he will immediately get on his phone and remind me that there are NO FORFEITS in this league
3. a new dylan will emerge with new life realizing that the DOTY is back in reach…..such a terrible name but a great opportunity to gather some hardware for all guys Dylan.

6pm Manzke vs B Healy
team manzke will have their DOTMY replacement tonight in Tom Vodica. not much is known about this guy except that he is a disciple of the Lugans….being a disciple of the lugans means a few things…..#1 he is over 6’2 # 2 he is super skinny and #3, he will likely have no grey shirts and only green shirts that say “Buckets” on it. Lugan or not, Vodica will be a force to reckon with for the rest of the year. B Healy has been underwhelming all year as it seems Rob and LIL Pat Statham cant figure out who wants to be the man on this squad…..luckily they will be catching team Mankze short handed as while i am typing this, reports have come thru that Rookie Lugan Vodica will not be at the game tonight.

B Healy 54 Manzke 48

7pm John Healy vs DeCarlo
Team J Healy is the clear cut favorite at this point and they will matchup with the worst team in the league tonight with their best player out. Michael Healy will not be in attendance and even if he was, team Healy would have dominated this game. Team Healy is deep and big, has 3 point shooting and even their 8th rounder has the ability to score and play D for a guy that was in FOCUS classes at Mt.Carmel (see championship pic from 2019). this will be an ugly one

Healy 67 DeCarlo 48

8pm Hanigan vs Harrigan
this game is not even worth writing about since Harrigan will only have 3 of its normal guys and Hanigan playing with 6 but 2 of them have injuries to worry about. may the best bad team win!

Hanigan 58 Harrigan 52 (I am subbing for team hanigan, should be able to contribute at least 6pts and 4 turnovers)

9pm McEldowney vs Carroll
team Carroll’s year is completely dependent on their captain being able to play. early reports are that he may be out for the year but we are all hoping he can make it back to play. this team is a championship contender with Kevin but will struggle mightily if he is out….i will predict that if Kevin comes back, they will make it to the championship game…..i will also predict that if he cant play for the rest of the year, they will finish 7-9. Team Mac is dangerous when they have their top guys and will compete in every game they play…..rumors are swirling that there isnt enough ball to go around for this squad though. early reports thru a source out of Thornton IL are that Slager will have his minutes cut if he continues to shoot at his current clip of 26% behind the arc…..there are also reports out of Alsip IL that Slevin will be cut for 2023 if he doesnt start showing up to more games.

Mac 72 Carroll 58
