a few things to note after the first 2 weeks.
1. bar attendance has been good but not great….tomorrow is a special night as the bar will be providing Louisa’s pizza. it will be there around 8:30 so show up. we have 3 early leaders for “bar guy of the year” ….Matt Kelly,Tom Gollogly and Danny Mac. Props to Matt Kelly for making this list so early in his career….good luck getting the bartender to go on a date with you buddy.
2. in the most important race of the year, Dylan Overstreet is on top of the MVD competition. this will mean a lot to whomever wins as it will be major consolation for having a horrible first name.
Carroll 48 over Mac 47
as predicted, NO KENNEDY = NO WIN for team Mac. team Mac starts out 0-2 pretty much every single year but to their credit, even when they lose, its typically a close game. Team Mac had a shot to win at the end of the game but neither Mac or slager had the balls to drop in a game winner….Mac, you gotta make your free throws if you expect to win games
John Healy 63 DeCarlo 62
another tight one that went down to the last second. didnt see this game and the synopsis from the captains was weak so im just going to make this up. Healy is an oaf and according to crud should have fouled out within 5 minutes of the game starting. Gierhahn and Michael Healy scored 31 each and Don/Koll scored 61 with John Healy picking up the slack with a bucket.
Harrigan 75 Ha-never-win-again 63
pretty hilarious to watch this game as Hanigan literally thought his team was going to win until about 3 min left in the game. Team Harrigan is an offensive Juggernaut and if they can find a way to play a little D they will be dangerous. Team Hanigan tried their balls off but without the alaskan, they had no chance from the opening tip. Kudos to Hanigan for sneaking in a spray tan before the game, him, wags and brettman are tied for “best looking arms in a cutoff”
Manzke 69- B Healy 60
team manzke continues to defy the odds starting the year 2-0 for the first time in Mark’s history as a captain. having the best Dylan in the league definitely helps but this team is still overachieving. Team Healy was down a man with Rob on the COVID protocol list and his absence was a problem for team Healy. Rookie Conor Flannery broke the league record for fouls in a game, racking up 34 in the loss. not sure that record will ever be broken.
