Previews are my favorite and here is why……recaps are stressful and put pressure on my brain to remember what happened the week before…i try to be as accurate as possible but sometimes its hard. Previews, on the other hand, are simple because it allows me to speak freely and make up lies. Kudos to Kyle Garmes….its much easier to publish simple thoughts that pop up in your head as opposed to actual news.

As most of you know by looking at the schedule, we are playing straight thru the holidays….these next 2 weeks at the bar should be heavily attended due to the lack of work over the holidays. I am going to try to get something different for food tonight so stay tuned….before i get into the previews i am going to channel my inner Dave Statham and release the 1st INDIVIDUAL bar rankings in the history of the league….Keep in mind, Captains DO NOT count(for top 5).

Individual to 5 Bar Power Rankings
——————
1. Rick Konopka (leagues leading scorer and boozer)
2. Mike Coci
3. Matt McDonald (zero points scored, 36 Old Styles consumed)
4. Matt Kelly (1 Achilies, lots of energy)
5. Dave Wills (only comes when team wins, Carroll currently 2-0)

Individual BOTTOM 5 bar power rankings
——————
1. Kevin Statham
1b Kyle Whirity
2. Kevin McCann
3. Kevin Carroll
4. Kevin McCallister
5. Kevin Coleman

Week 4 preview

6pm O’Malley PICK’EM Hannigan
it truly is too bad that this game is at 6pm….there is a LOT riding on this match-up between Hanigan and O’Malley. $$ and Pride come before friendship and although i like his dad better than i like him, there will be no love lost tonight. not sure if that makes any sense but i seriously enjoy his Dad’s company more than his…..it all went sideways when he threw Ronnie to the curb (love ya girl if you are still reading this) and started focusing all his time on Qanon and Crypto. Anyway….back to the game. Team O’Malley is missing George and Moody and Team Hanigan is missing their secret weapon in Sean Bartlett. another big story line here is Bo Goshorn. Bo was on team O’Malley last year and although none of this information has been verified, team O’Malley in the first half of the year was 4-0 without BO and 0-4 with him. as they say in sports and statistics, the #’s speak for themselves…..all of that being said, i have a feeling that Bo will come out with a chip on his shoulder for this one.

Dylan vs Finger—-Finger will have his dick full with this match-up—-his size will slow dylan down in the paint but can he finger out a way to stick with him offensively?

Hanigan vs Coci—-2 very similar players and builds. the roids have helped Hanigan bulk up a bit but these 2 are pretty equal from a speed perspective. both solid on D and make their team better

O’Malley vs Rapp—-2 of the best defenders in the league

Bo vs Slevin—-every time i have been on the floor with Bo, the team he is playing with has lost so i got Slevin in this one

O’Malley 64 Hanigan 63

7pm DeCarlo -6 vs Harrigan
i hate to make DeCarlo the favorite here but team Harrigan is a shell of themselves missing whitey and 2 other important role players. Team DeCarlo hasnt released their attendance yet but have pretty much had a full squad every week so far. DeCarlo is out for blood after last weeks officiating debacle and should have his team ready for this one. big game for Konopka to prove that he isnt just a 2 week wonder. Bust or Rookie of the year….the #’s wont lie

Sheehy vs B Harrigan—–B will shoot from anywhere and Sheehy will guard him at half court

Tyler vs Mike Healy—–Pure D vs Pure underutilized—-Mike Healy has to get to his offense at some point this year

DeCarlo vs his garage Fridge—-we all know who wins this match-up—-literally EVERY SINGLE NIGHT

DeCarlo 54 Harrigan 48

8pm Carroll -14 vs J Healy
huge game for J Healy to prove that last week wasnt a fluke…..Team Carroll welcomes Bill Barry for his 1st game of the year….this team is super scary when they have their top guys….1-5 are all super important, 7-10 are great role players and 6, well, he is typically a disappointment. gotta figure out how to get more production out of that guy…..the more i look at this squad, the more i realize how much better they are than anyone else in the league….complete matchup nightmare for almost every team.

Kennedy vs Nobody—-Fahey is out this week and that pretty much dooms team Healy

Gierhahn vs nobody—-team Carroll has zero midgets

Adams vs Keanu Reeves— both have lots of SPEED but hopefully Ridge Park’s windows dont allow any COOL BREEZES to impact their jump shots

9pm Manzke vs B Healy -6
opposite results have led each of these teams in different directions after last week….team Manzke was feeling good but got thumped by team O’Malley and team Healy was down and out before thumping team Mac. Team Manzke will be shorthanded again without Bill Bendo and Team Healy should be running at full strength. the captain (manzke) is starting to get his game back after being still all summer and fall and will be an important piece moving forward.

McCann vs McGinty—-interesting pairing here….two Micks who are equally dangerous when honing their craft….If McGinty can get his long range game going, it will be the difference

Statham vs Manzke—-Mark will have his work cut out for him here….statham coming off an uncharacteristic slow night last week should be able to run manzke out of the gym

Matt Kelly vs Slager—-love this match-up….all Matt Kelly has to do is deny Slager the ball on the arc. find a way to do that and the guy will crawl into a quarry….i mean hole.

Nolan vs Gollogly—–Nolan is quicker, stronger and more offensive than Tom

wildcard matcup
Luke Lyons vs Matt Stahl——if luke shows tonight (attendance has been spotty) this match-up might control the game….its been a minute since a 6th or 7th rounder has controlled a game (see wills comment above) but if these guys get it going on the post, it will be fun to watch.

B Healy 64 Manzke 58
