Halfway thru the season…..perfect time to reflect on the past 7 weeks. But first, lets talk about week 7. 2 things happened this past week that stood out. #1, we have decided that we will allow trades moving forward…..speak to your captains if you are unhappy about playing time (Gollogly) and lets make something happen. #2. Don McAvoy has no brain. with the game tied and 10 seconds left Don heaved a half court shot thinking he was getting fouled and would get 3 shots. Don didnt get fouled and the other team almost won becuase of it. Extremely strange moment….there were 2 fans in attendance and both gasped in shock when the shot left Don’s hands.
Weak bar night last week, hope that the next few weeks things will pick up a bit…..if you havent, show up to the bar for a few after your game. Food has been good and so far, every single night i have been there, something very “crestwood” happens….pretty exciting place.

Week 7 recap
Manzke over Mac
this game was waaaaaay closer than it should have been….team Red was shorthanded as always and still found a way to stay with team Manzke. Danny Mac and Tony Driscoll kept them in the game but it wasnt enough to hang with a terrible team like team Manzke. Slager hit a dagger with the game tied and about 8 seconds left in the game….he literally dribbled around the entire perimeter and after the 3rd screen failed he threw up a prayer that went in. finished 3-26 from 3 but made it when it counted.
Spadoni over Harrigan
as predicted Mike Spadoni dominated B Harrigan……BUT, as i DIDNT predict, Spadoni also won the game. questionable defense matchups in this one by team Harrigan as they put McGinnis on Spadoni and Harrigan on Statham. makes zero sense and they paid the price. Spadoni wins another game that they shouldnt have.
B Healy over DeCarlo
didnt see much of this game outside of Don’s awesome half court shot at the end of the game. Honestly, i didnt need to see anything more as that goofy ass sequence made my night. Gierhahn tried his best to keep team black in this one but it wasnt enough. the balance of team Healy is making them a major threat….Don is finally playing like Don and Hannigan seems to be getting better ever week….will be interesting to see how he plays after Jan 20th.
J Healy over O’Malley
although they are 3-4, Team Healy will have to be dealt with in the 2nd half. Kevin Harrigan will keep this team in every single game and the rest of their role players just have to not turn the ball over. Burhans played the game of his life last week….not sure if it was due to Team O’Malley’s sorry excuse of a zone or if his output was for real. I am leaning towards the lack of defense.
